  Ghosts of Glenwood

  This is the second year that Jan and I have hosted this walk into Park City history. We had nine Miata's and several "MSV's" meet in Smith's parking lot at Kimball Junction, just off I-80. We caravaned to Park City Mountain Ski Resort's parking lot and walked to the cemetery.

  As always there is a voluntary donation to the Park City's Historical Society before entering the cemetery. At the entrance was a hundred year old hearse, although, most residents of the cemetery could not afford such a luxury to arrive in such style. The tour of the cemetery involves meeting some of the residents. The actors recount their involvement in the making of Park City history. This year there were several children portraying those unfortunate enough to succumb to the extreme hardship long ago.

  After leaving the cemetery we did the second most favorite past time of the Utah Miata Club.....we went to eat. We ate at Squatter's. The food was great, but the staff just did not want to make us separate checks and it became quite uncomfortable while we figured and re-figured and finally convinced the staff that we really did need several credit card receipts.

  We cruised Main Street in Park City and Zoomed our way home....sort of. Several members decided to do the third most favorite past time. They went shopping. It sure is fun seeing how much we can buy and still get it home, but then again there is always UPS.

  I hope everyone had fun. The weather was fabulous and the fellowship was just grand.
